On December 8, a semi-rainy day, the team enjoyed a backyard BBQ followed by ping pong, pool billiard and charade comps to celebrate the end of a weird, difficult but never-the-less very successful year. Congrats to all group members for the outstanding efforts despite lockdowns and lab closures, very proud of you all! Evidence are all your outstanding papers in theses in various stages of completion as well as everyone’s personal growth. Glad we finally got to Nana and Michael through the Australian border. Our party was also a welcome to two new team members who will start working with us in early 2022, new postdoc Ehsan Farabi who is joining from Deakin and new PhD student Cindy He from USyd who is already known to us from the AUSMURI project. Looking forward to an easier 2022 – enjoy your break everyone.
