Sophie was one of the Co-hosts of the 3rd Asia-Pacific International Conference on Additive Manufacturing held at The University Sydney, June 21-23. Almost the entire group participated either as student helpers or as delegates giving excellent presentations. Well done all and thanks for helping to make this meeting a big success. One of the perks of having such a great conference in Sydney is the networking opportunity with international leaders in our field. Nima hosted Prof. Tony Rollett (Carnegie Mellon University) at UNSW on June 20 while Sophie was busy getting the conference venue ready. Tony gave a great seminar, and enjoyed a round table and pub dinner with our group. We also welcomed Prof. Allison Beese from Penn State on June 26 (who, btw, delivered one of the APICAM plenary lectures), discussed collaboration opportunities and had another round table discussion on various projects.
