Philipp Kroeker is from TU Berlin where he is pursuing a Master’s program in Materials Science & Engineering. He will be our visitor for eight months, carrying out his Master’s thesis on the microstructure-corrosion properties of additively manufactured duplex stainless steel. We took this opportunity to have after work drinks at the UNSW roundhouse. We also celebrated Bernd’s recent publication on novel microscopy techniques for superalloys, and welcomed back group members after the summer, e.g., Hubert who will start his PhD project with us in April.
