After almost four years of pursuing excellent research programs on thermo-mechanical processing of complex superalloys and additive manufacturing of 17-4 PH stainless steel, Bernd and Max have submitted their theses on May 26! Double congrats! We celebrated this enjoying Indian/British food and beer towers at The Colonial in Darlinghurst. The whole group of HDR students and PostDocs joined as well as a couple of friends. Bernd and Max will stick around a little bit longer in our group, solving physical metallurgy mysteries that remained unsolved in their PhD projects.
