We enjoyed our first social activity in 2023 – drinks and pizza at a the Doncaster pub. This was to celebrate some of our recently accepted papers (congrats team superalloys led by Felix for their recent review paper, Bernd for his Jalcomp paper and Vitor for a Scripta Materialia letter) and Cindy’s birthday (Happy Birthday, Cindy). This was also an opportunity for all to meet Michael Lasisi (second right), our newest addition to our PhD student team. Michael is originally from Nigeria but spent much of the last few years in South Africa. He will do a PhD on additive manufacturing of Ti-alloys. Welcome Michael!
