Congrats to our 2023 Honour’s and now PhD student David for award of the very prestigious University Medal for his academic excellence throughout his undergrad degree. More than that, both of our 2023 Honour’s students Ally and David have received multiple awards at the recent UNSW Materials undergrad prize-giving ceremony. This include two awards of the ‘Perfect Engineering Prize for the best final year project in Process Metallurgy (David) and Materials Science & Engineering (Ally)’ and the ‘Rio Tinto Aluminium Prize’ for the best presentation in the Materials Industry Management course to our future PhD starter Ally. Well done – this is such great news. We also thank our PhD students Nana, Michael H, PostDoc Vitor and all others who helped to mentor Ally and David.
