We recently enjoyed a beautiful and somewhat exhausting bushwalk followed by lunch in the Royal National Park, as farewell to Ryan. He will spend the last couple of months of his PhD back in the US, where he will continue writing up lots of awesome papers on 3D EBSD of 3D printed Ti-6-4. Couple of weeks later, we welcomed Michael and Nana to the team, two new AUSMURI PhD students (check out team section). Due to Covid-19, they will start their projects while still being overseas based! With lots of MicrosoftTeams and Zoom, we will make this work. We now have team members based in three different time zones, but that’s just what modern workplaces are like. Welcome Michael and Nana, and hope to meet all of you f2f in 2021.
