A busy and successful year comes to an end soon. We celebrated this Aussie style at a lawn balls place in Randwick followed by a BBQ last weekend. Thanks to Maxwell and Nima for organising and shopping and Ehsan and many others for cooking. In 2022, we had four HDR thesis submissions (Arnab, Wilson, Richard, Vitor) and one recent PhD graduation (Arnab). Ehsan and Vitor have joined us as PostDocs, and Cindy as PhD student amongst several new undergrad and coursework students we have had the privilege to meet and supervise. Further, we published >20 journal papers, won several presentation awards, had a successful AUSMURI review, started traveling again (CAMS in Melbourne, several Europe trips), and won three new grants on additive manufacturing. We also celebrated that Sophie got promoted to Professor (effective Jan 2023).
