Richard recently submitted his PhD thesis on processing-structure-property relationships in a Ni-based superalloy which has been to outer space! This alloy is also critical for next generation aero engines, and is manufactured in Australia, with lots of input from our research. This had to be celebrated with an Italian (not Austrian) dinner in Newtown and all you can eat pasta, to recognise that Richard is our ‘Italian’ scholarship recipient. Congrats on your achievement, and good luck with your assessors’ reports and future endeavours.
