We have been lucky to be awarded another grant in the Australian Research Council Linkage 2019 round. This project is led by Sophie at UNSW and aims to design a new thermo-mechanical process for manufacturing aero-engine disks with superior mechanical properties. This is based on our previous research in direct industry collaborations around multi-scale characterisation of Ni-based superalloys, and will be carried out in collaboration with The University of Sydney.
